Honestly I hear people talk about Honore all the time but what exactly did he do? I know he put himself in the media a lot. Our LA guardsman were already doing their job and continued to do it well during Katrina. I won't tell you Blanco inspired confidence as a leader during Katrina but that had little impact on the LA National Guard's response. A lot of what we heard about stories at the convention center, etc. turned out to be false. Our LA Guard did their job well and continue to do it well in emergency response.. I am unsure of how Honore contributed to that except for continuously going on TV, radio. This is not a knock on his active military career.

Honore' organized what had been a clusterfrick and gave people reason to believe. He deserves credit. I guarantee you he kicked some arse when he hit the ground and he made a difference. Firsthand, brah.
