I guess it's easy to bitch about us "complainers" when you have power

Got that right.
I know that being without power sucks, but what I can't understand is how shocked people act that it takes more than a day or two after a HURRICANE to get all the power restored. Unless you work for the power company, you have no idea what is broken to cause your power to be off nor do you know what it will take to fix it.

Like I've always said, I'm sure they are working hard, but I've seen ZERO entergy trucks anywhere I've driven, and I'm now getting word from friends and family in LaPlace that they are getting power now.....in LAPLACE....My place still doesn't have power and still no entergy sighting. Again, I'm sure they are working hard, but it sure is difficult to accept mentally while watching your neighbors across the street have power since wednesday night and hear people in what is now Lake LaPlace even getting power while you don't.

[/end rant]
