cool. So what does he have? What pitches? How hard?
He has a great arm. God Given. locates his fb and curve. Cruises 86-88, still throwing that in the 7th. Hitters think he is throwing in the 90's and he hits that every now and then.

Please dont take offense to this, but he was way better as a JR. Is there any reason for that, you think. Number of innings thrown over the past year or something?

ReelFun, I redact what I posted earlier. I was the plate ump for the game Saturday vs Episcopal and was really impressed. It was my first time working as a plate ump in a Runnels game since 2011 whereas I've seen Tidwell this year, so maybe I was off base with the previous comment. Cartwright located his pitches well, was crafty w/ offspeed stuff and good enough FB pop to succeed at SEC level with continued development. I saw Nola a few times in 2011 and really don't think they are that far apart in terms of stuff and abillity to fill up the zone (based on my small body of work in seeing both at the HS level). Props to a few of the EHS hitters for some good swings. I thought the pitch on the hit that sent the game to extras was well located, the hitter just won that battle. Any chance he sees AB's at LSU? He looked pretty confident in the box. Congrats to you and your son and I look forward to following his career. I may try to make it out to watch Runnels in the playoffs if they are afforded the opportunity to host
