This is like Steve Jobs saying he only made Apple for himself and was going to liquidate all the assets of his company once he dies, and frick everyone else. Yeah you can keep your old iPhones and computers, but none are coming down the line.
Sorry, but that's not good enough. I'm an investor, and I demand a finished product. Stop sucking this fat turd off and enabling him. In the least he should say he's hired a ghost writer in the event of his death.
If George RR Martin was anyone else save for Steven King and JKR, his publisher would have thrown him to the curb by now. This is not normal for a writer to write 3 books over 6 years, and then for all the next books all take the same amount of time to write as he did the previous 3. Who the frick does this? It's wrong to the fans. I don't think even George Lucas would do this shite.
He is creating literary works of art. Much work goes into them. Frank wrote Dune I, II, III all as one story and then broke them up. How long did it take him to write those? Alot of research went into those books.
George's first book in this series was what? 20 years ago? Now forget the show, suppose it never came out.
20 years later, which book is still read? The first one or John Grisham's The Firm? Does anyone even remember that masterpiece of formula writing.
In other words, there is a difference between formula writing and actual literature. A shame you can't tell the difference between the two.
