Regardless I'm thinking that was a wrench in his plans. I'm sure he's going to be back with a vengeance and he's just merely biding him time, but Varys being forced to bust Tyrion out and then getting caught was certainly not part of his plans.

Aside from maybe Varys, who is even close to Littlefinger in this regard? I've pretty much proved he's the instigator of the entire series up to the point I've finished, and few people suspect him even though they can see he's growing more and more powerful. The only people who can see Littlefinger for what he really is are Varys and Tyrion.
