In a vacuum? I honestly don't know. I do know Nash almost dragged one of the 5 worst rosters in the league to a playoff spot in a very competitive western conference. But on this Lakers team? No doubt in my mind they'd be in better shape if Kobe gets hurt than if Nash gets hurt

Well Nash's backups are Steve Blake and Chris Duhon. The Lakers just signed Meeks who started 50 games for a playoff team to backup Kobe and if Kobe goes down Artest would go from a spot up shooter to a playmaker which he is much more fit for. So yeah I could see an argument for Nash being more valuable.

But that's not what you initially said. You initially implied that Steve Nash is a better basketball player than Kobe Bryant, which is fricking insane.
