how much better do you think the new frontier's are compared to the hesse or vulcan?
I have no idea, but my gun funds are limited now. So Ill let someone else to the testing. For $40 bucks Ill stick with metal lowers. Its not worth the risk to myself or a $1000+ upper.

Exactly. Why dont Colt, DD, BCM, ect use these "special" lowers?

Glad you finally made it over to the thread
No good OB'er should go without reading it. My claim to... uh, nothing really.
For a plinking AR on the side, I'm looking forward to trying the polymer. I haven't heard anything negative about the NF lowers

Have your Taxidermy skills improved? I've got a black panther I'd like you to mount for me!

what caused the failure at that location?
was it caused when firing or when using the stock to hit objects?

Also does anyone know if there have been compartaive testing done with heat/flames? How do the carbon fiber bodies stand up vs the aluminum?

Well no shite.
Of course if I am throwing my gun 25 yards, using it as a hammer, using it as a step to load into a truck or a mat to jump our of the truck on, or plan to run over it with my truck I would assume I am in a bind too.

I have transferred about 30 of the new frontier lowers. Don't be scared of them because they are polymer. I have one customer that has over 10000 rounds thru a plum crazy lower and no issues.a few other have over 2500 thru them. The pics that people are posting of the of the broken receivers you dont know what was done to them to crack it like that. I dont know what they did to apply that much force to tighten or loosen the castle nut. I have sold around 100 plumcrazy and new frontier lowers and only had 2 issues. a sear cracked (never did see it to see if they tried to lighten the trigger) and a rear take down pin cracked. These were both with the Plum crazy receivers. If you are looking for a cheap lower these are it.

I was skeptical at first but i have seen what some of the guys are putting them thru and they are holding up. They had some videos of someone shooting a .50bmg upper on i think a plum crazy lower and it held up.

It's actually the same material that most UFO's are made of. The formula was given to the owner of New Frontier as reparations for an anal probing that happened several years ago. It's really good shite.
