Tommy Casanova is the only three time All American in LSU history. There is a reason his name and number is displayed in Tiger Stadium.

The biggest reason is no one left early back then. Cassanova played 3 seasons at LSU, but they were his Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons (Freshmen couldn't play back then). Peterson's three years were his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior seasons. Had he played a Senior season, there is every indication and reason to believe he would have been a two time national defensive player of the year and defensive back of the year.

Plus, look at the situation of guys like Glenn Dorsey, a two-time All American who spent his first two years behind two other All-Americans. Casanova never had another All-American db on his team, so he was a starter from day 1. We could easily have had two or three more 3 time All-Americans if not for them being buried behind the kind of All-American upperclassmen that Casanova never had to beat out.

The reality is that maybe, just maybe, it's possible that Tommy Casanova might not be the best DB ever at DBU. Of course, some will take this as blasphemy for saying Casanova sucks, but they are idiots who can't grasp that saying he might not be the greatest DB in LSU history is saying he is likely one of the 10-15 greatest DBs in college football history.

Oh, and leaving him off a top 25 list of LSU players of all time is so stupid that I'm assuming it's trolling by some childish, pathetic loser. It's probably not as big a miss as Trindon at #3, but it's close.
