Most people think you need as much ammo you can get in the biggest gun possible for CC. You can conceal anything in the right holster, but the thinner the gun, the better. This why I usually don't suggest people carry Glocks, because they are wide as frick. But a lot of people do it with success.
The general rule of thumb is that the more comfortable the gun is, the more you will carry it. A gun left at home is worthless.
