They're in denial.
Notice that nobody is defending Spanier, Schultz, Curley, Sandusky, or McQueary. But they don't want to accept that Joepa is a pedo enabler.
Imagine how Bama fans would feel if it came out that Bear Bryant was an enabler (or worse, a pedo himself).
