Does it bother anyone else that ESPN uses twitter for segments on SportsCenter?

For example, the Drew Brees signing is the first topic on the show and to wrap it up and talk about the next topic, they head to the twitter segment. Larry Fitzgerald and Chase Daniel giving Brees congrats on the signing. Why would anyone give a shite about Chase Daniel's tweets, or anyone's for that matter?

I just think it's fricking stupid and a waste of time. That is all.

Twitter is the best tool to get up-to-date, breaking sports information. Nothing compares to it.

Tune in to the 10 p.m. Sports Center. Turn down the TV volume to 0. Read the crawler line. Now you are up to date on everything that went on during the day and you didn't have to put up with the BS. See how easy that is.

Twitter is cool in that you can communicate with people you wouldn't normally get to communicate with (famous people) but it's dumb how ESPN uses it. I don't really give a frick about athletes congratulating other athletes or what Lebron thinks about anything like they often show.
