Anyone on here ever noticed that the anti-union states have the lowest quality of life as well as the lowest ACT scores (sans Michigan). Factories open up there for the same reason they open up in China and Mexico. Cheap, obedient labor. Not saying that's a bad thing. That's just how it *usually* is.
To the OP: do what your heart and mind tells you. Sometimes unions are just like a staffing and training agency. Other times they're impotent and sometimes their crooked, and sometimes they're legit negotiators.
You have to figure this stuff out for yourself.

I forgot to mention that you need to assess the vesting schedules of the two plans as well as the portability of union vs. non-union benefits/retirement. It varies.

Is there a higher or lower correlation between anti union and those factors or racial makeup of the states? That must mean that unions are super duper bad, because everyone knows more diversity (read: less white people) = more better, amirite?
