A director at Ooredoo (formerly Qatar Telecom), is quoted by Al Jazeera saying:

I swear to fricking God, if they change the badge to some bullshite Asian crap like they did with Cardiff I will go on a rampage. This is the only thing I'm worried about. Change the stadium, give us money, do whatever. But if you start to dabble with the history, game fricking over.

"A big club with huge history", The frick is Shitty doing in there. 1 title in what, 50 years. A big club with unending reserves of Benjamins or whatever oohlala name they have for their moolah in the sand dunes, more like.
Also nice piece of courtship that. "Our first second third choices were all unavailable so we went with you losers." That said, gimme 200 mn, that the club can spend over the next 2 years and I'll bite your hands off, just don't give Anfield a crappy name.
