I cannot agree more. I think I posted a few pages back that this has been our problem in the premiership era. Every time we have come close to building a great team we have let go of the best players in the group. No one is leaving this group except for Carroll and maybe Downing if we replace him with a significantly better wide-man. Having A-grade players who fit perfectly into a team is very very difficult and with Carra gone Agger will pretty much have to marshal the defense.

For a second there, I was wondering when Adam Johnson played for Liverpool

Last season against Norwich. It completed his first hat trick in England.

I like this one as well. Love the woman in the first row.
Needs an "IN" at the end.

Me too, but that one + the cane in his hand is even better.
EDIT: Gif in question is at the top of this page.

I don't always post,
But when I do,
It's to pull this thread off the second page.

Sahin blew BR up in the media this morning. Said coach wanted him to play CAM but he's just not that good at it, so he rode pine. At one point he says "thank god I've left Brendan Rodgers" but they use that as a headline a bit out of context. He said he loved Anfield and was glad to be home at Dortmund, said it might not have ever happened if he didn't go to pool, then said thank god I left BR.
I guess BR insisted he play as a 10 and Nuri has never played there before so he got frustrated

Well I always wanted it to work out for Nuri when he was here ... I rmember watching him at Dortmund and he was amazing but he did play that deeper role and we just had too many guys trying to do that so it didn't work out for him.
So now let's go get Eriksen and make it all right

I think the media is misconstruing things. From reading the transcripts, I bet you Sahin said something like "Blah blah.....I was not able to play because I did not fit into the role the manager wanted me to play in. But now I have left Rodger's behind, Inshallah"
That is a very muslim thing to do. Say "inshallah" at the end of a sentence when you are hoping for something better. Which is exactly what he is trying to do now, get his footballing career back on track. Inshallah loosely translates to "thank god" or "god willing" and the UK media being the cu*ts they are will always make it sound the worst they possibly can.
Trust me I have watched enough India v Pakistan cricket. The Pakis say inshallah thrice in every badly constructed sentence at the post match presentations after getting their asses whopped.
