I love Lakeview & Lake Vista. Probably because I went to Mount Carmel 
. Gorgeous homes are being built, especially on Canal Blvd. I don't know why people think Old Metairie is the place to be; isn't that where the Uptown wannabes live?

It's pretty simple: Old Metairie is in Jefferson and Lakeview is still Orleans Parish. Cost of living and taxes are a bit lower in Jefferson compared to Orleans.
Regardless, Lakeview is a great spot and that stretch along Harrison has developed really nicely over the past 7 years.
