The Saints wouldn't write something without being very particular with the wording. They know it can be referenced later and they don't want to paint themselves into a corner.

If you notice it says "the violations" and not "all the violations." In other words that part of the statement is basically saying "We know what happened (pay for performance is against the rules) and it happened under our watch."

The NFL has only shown one piece of "evidence" that really comes close to showing that there was money put on players to take them out. That was the ledger for the Minny game, which they oddly only showed the typed out version and not the note itself to compare against.

This same piece of "evidence" had Vitt contributing to a "QB out" pool, and yet the NFL say they aren't holding having his name on there against them because they can't corroborate it. This same piece of "evidence" (with it's unknown author) has been used to suspend Vilma for an entire year. That doesn't seem fishy to you at all?

Of course I'm sure you don't care.

ETA: Also, does Vitt recent statements mean nothing to you? I would like to know if you think he's a liar.

You are right. I don't care. Nothing will change. I don't think the NFL is conspiring to get the Saints. The penalties have been doled out and those are staying in place. Time to move on for a Super Bowl run.
