Their QB forcing a couple of throws and some fumblitis prevented more points from being scored (also credit to the defense), but what if they had a defense as good as simply Miss St who held you to 19?
Then they would have played in the NC and not us. As it stands the two best programs in the country and league are now in your division and we play tough defense and run the ball effectively. You can win by running different offenses but throwing the ball 65 times and running for a total of 70 yards won't win you the conference in the SEC.

Agreed. I seriously doubt we will be passing 50-60 times a game though. Sumlin has repeatedly said that we will run the ball and that the offense won't be run exactly like it was at Houston. We have much better RBs and OL than Houston, so it's only common sense that we will run the ball more.
Also, no one ever said we were better at QB than WVU this year. Right now QB is a question mark. We could have a very good QB this year or it could be a disaster; we won't know until the season starts. That being said, Showers looked quite good in the Spring, so here's hoping he follows that up by playing well this fall. Long term, however, it shouldn't even be a question, as our QB recruiting>>>>>>>>WVU's.
