Where to start with this one?

quote:

Am I the only one who likes the #2 Nationally thing on it?

They had a few posters in here agreeing that it's not a big deal. Could have read a few posts before asking this question.

quote:

Am I the only one who doesn't give a frick about the SEC title since we lost to Bama? We're not the SEC champs - in the end, they were.

You are probably not the only one, but your lack of enthusiasm about winning the championship of the toughest football conference in the nation is a little strange. It's something to be proud of.

...and just think: if the champions were crowned before the bowl games like when Bama won most of it's championships, we would have been the National Champions in every poll.

The #2 Nationally is motivation for this year, mainly.

If I was an outgoing senior, I wouldn't want #2 nationally to be on my last ring I receive from LSU.

I didn't literally mean I was the ONLY one. There are far more negative reviews than positive, including a CBS sports article about it, so that's the reason behind my rhetorical question.

I agree winning the SEC is a big deal - any other year. This one, to me, has an asterisk next to it. By losing and splitting with Bama - and losing the game that mattered more - we're only the champs on paper as someone else said. If I'm a Bama fan I'm calling my team the de facto SEC champ, because they basically stole that from us when they embarrassed us in the National Championship.

If the roles were reversed, I'd tell Bama to keep their pointless SEC championship if we beat them in the title game. I'm being uncharacteristically harsh, but it's the truth.
