Wait, wait, wait!

Who in there right mind would give anybody the advantage over Rhymes.

He is the best hitter in the nation, seriously, who would you rather have up with two outs and a man on in a clutch situation?

LF-Goldstein vs. Rhymes------------Advantage SB

Stupid line and then gets backed up by "hitting isn't the only part of baseball"!!! Ummm. READ the freaking title. For this discussion. Yes batting is the ONLY THING to consider.

Here's what I don't understand: Rhymes' BA has dropped over 60 points in the past month or 6 weeks or however long it's been. Especially this late in the season (with all the ABs he's had) you have to be struggling big time for your average to drop that much. He was great earlier in the season and is still a fine hitter, but he just has not been a good hitter recently. I can think of 2 or 3 players on SB's team who i would rather come up in a clutch situation RIGHT NOW, not based on the whole season.

It's baseball and people struggle. Rhymes is averaging out his insanely good start with a "eh" second half to this point.
