Esteemed Admins,
I agree with the earlier posts in this thread, humbly requesting the un-anchor. We (those posting in the gaming threads/on the gaming board) all understand the importance of the rule and necessity of the minimize IM threads on this site except where sanctioned. Fleur, Omaha, and I were only discussing IM-style because another thread here on the help board was eliminated; thus, eliminating our original forum for the discussion that made its way to the gaming board.
We were merely trying to briefly conclude the discussion, not continue it. It just so happens the now anchored thread was the thread we post in regularly, and we knew to find each other there. Additionally, I'm aware others (outside of those mentioned in this post) resumed discussing the whacked topic in the lunch IM on Friday. It was imperative, however, for us not to post in that thread, as emotions were high and insults were beginning to get tossed around in the help board thread. If we (Fleur, Omaha, and I) were to have posted in the lunch IM regarding the whacked thread, it may have led to further escalation.
We did not intend to circumvent the board's/admin's rules regarding IMs; we were simply attempting to defuse any tension and quickly conclude the original discussion, as the admins decided it necessary to delete the original thread. I assure you, we meant no disrespect, and if you peruse the entire thread, you'll find it stays on topic 99% of the time, which is rather impressive considering its length. Additionally, as others have mentioned, the thread serves a great purpose, as it allows all those involved to know the status of the dynasty without the use of texting during less-convenient times (evenings, finals time, work hours, etc.).
Thank you, Lord Admins and
