In the old school ways this was the only caliber they shot them with. None of my rounds tear anything up too much. I also hunt with Berger VLD's. I feel like they leave good entry holes and don't tear up to much meat. If you place the shot where it needs to be then it is going to drop. That's why you only shoot to ranges you are comfortable shooting at.
