49th Annual Helldiver's Spearfishing Rodeo

It is open to all waters and all divers, young and old, male and female, scuba divers and skindivers. With twelve species of fish and three places for each, there is a chance for all to win from our spectacular prize table. The weigh in will be June 3rd from 10am to 2pm at the Kenner City Park Pavilion (corner of Loyola and Vintage). We will have a live band (Group Therapy), food and of course cold beverages.
We want to especially thank the sponsors from last year for believing in us and thank all our current sponsors, many who have been with us for years, for being there with us in these lean economic times. We ask for your support of the companies who generously donate their products for our prize table and make the rodeo brochure possible.
Proceeds from the Hell Divers Rodeo are donated each year to the “Whip” Scholarship fund for marine biology at LSU, Blake Terry Memorial Foundation Award as well as the FRA and Save the Rigs.
Special thanks to the City of Kenner for allowing us to host our event in their great city.
This year’s rodeo is scheduled for May 31st.-June 3rd. The weather should be good and the fish will be big and plentifully. After three days of hard diving get ready for a great party called the “The Hell Divers Rodeo” Good luck to ya’ll, see you at the weigh-in.

admins, I'm sure yall are going to delete this because of "advertising" but I'd like to post and take my chances anyhow. Many posters have expressed interest in spearfishing and I figure this would be something of interest to them. I make no money off of this (and neither does the club)

Hope they have a great turn out. Hat was it July when BT went missing? Cant believe it's been a year. I was in Ewing Banks at the time and heard the calls over the VHF. Sad sad I watched the CG helicopter fly around all night and they landed on one of our platforms to get fuel.

Haha I took that picture of Chris and his 'Cuda. I can't fish the rodeo, but I'll be at the weigh in. Wish I could get off work for the three days of being on the boat without coming in. Would be a trip of a lifetime.

I'll be at Sasquatch in Washington during the rodeo but get home the day before the weigh-in so I may show up then to see what all the fuss is about.
