Meaning they use the free to play model. But, the more you spend on the game for weapons and whatnot, the better you are.

The games are "Free to play" But made in such a way that you can buy things that make you overpowered compared to people who don't buy said items. Therefore, you pay or you get slaughtered

Well they can't make EA Sports much worse so..
I'm raging pretty hard myself right now. My NHL 12 club just got eliminated in the EASHL monthly playoffs by 1 goal thanks to the shitbag game/servers freezing up our Right Wing during a penalty kill. Nothing like being a Top 100 division club all month only to be eliminated 2nd game into the Playoffs thanks to fricking EA's frickups.
shite is ridiculous how much freezing happens and Faceoff glitches every year they don't fix. Yet EA Canada is supposed to be so damn good (FIFA/NHL win tons of awards).
