Okay shite just got real. I don't know what to ask because I honesty don't know much at all right about spearfishig but I'm really hoping others will ask you questions so we can get some good discussion in here. I've scubaed multiple times and done some research into Hawaiian slings for Toledo bend, but that's about it.

Any specific reading material a beginner should look into that you would recommend? A book, field guide, magazine, blog, PDF, class, etc.

An itemized gear list of your normal rig dive setup?

Any YouTube videos of other people or personal pics you wanna share?

Message boards can have some good info, but trust your training and common sense to filter out the bad information. Most everything you read online or in books is full of inflated egos, fish stories, and misconceptions. First thing I'd find someone who is knowledgeable and is willing to take the time to guide you through the dives and make you comfortable. Not a lot of spearos are patient or willing enough to take that time out of their dives to do that.
