I posted immaturely before reading the thread, but after reading your posts, I completely agree with you. The coach is there to remind the players of the situation for times like this (when emotions and heat of the moment take over).
The player is still expected to know what to do in that situation and "blame" cannot be put on the coach. There's only so much a coach can do.
