exactly, when ever something gets so much praise and adulation the hyperbole gets out of hand and it lead to blow back.
As far as the technical profiencey, I'm with Baloo. So fricking what. Rock n Roll comes from the blues, both are music of and by the "masses". The whole point of a lot of it is accessability. If you want technical profiency, listen to Jazz, or orchestra music. I don't care if Yngewie Malmsteen is a better guitarist than George Harrison or Kieth Richards.

Yep, Rock n Roll (IMO) was meant to be rude, a little crude and loud. I can appreciate proficiency and can appreciate historical relevance, but it doesn't make them a better band to me, necessarily.
