Not sure why its a big deal to either side.

Not worth the time and effort for the council to have a hearing and put a law in the books where current laws are already in place to prevent this.

Also not worth the time and effort for anyone to protest it.

It's a slippery slope to his assumed goal of shutting down or limiting the trucks. Restaurant owner trying to regulate competion. Nothing to see here.

I disagree. Clearly Smokie has an angle here he's working toward, and I do believe it's to open the door to further regulations. Obviously I don't need a metro council ordinance to make it clear that tetu is restricted from parking in front of a fire hydrant. Trespassing is also against the law. We don't need a metro council ordinance telling you that you are personally restricted from trespassing without the permission of the owner. The police will still give you a ticket for doing so with or without an ordinance, because it's already on the books. Smokie may be unashamed enough to use his political office to go after his competition, but he's NO IDIOT. He's working toward a goal here, and this I have to believe is his first step.
