Good stuff, it is likely he breaks the avg record at this point, and with each week it seems likely he gets to 100 hits

Being a life-long baseball fan(I'm in my 50s)it seemed proposterous to me to type that a player competing in the SEC 'only' had to average .451 over 22 games to break a seasons hit record. Then I looked at Rhymes' performance since he missed the three games after Florida threw at and beaned him.

9 games, 21 for 33, .636 BA and an even more impressive 17 for 26,.654 in the 7 games vs SEC competition.

It ain't out of the question that he gets to 111 hits and the LSU season BA record is pretty much a gone pecan already.

P.S. It's also funny to go back and read some of the early comments on this thread made a month or so ago.

According to some of our board baseball 'experts' Rhymes didn't much of a shot at .410
