Brought my boat to him for warranty work and he parked the boats so close you couldnt walk between them, i get home and there is a fresh 27' scratch from front to back. I know for a fact it wasnt there when I brought to him. He cussed me and told me he hadnt scratched a boat in 30 years.. and after he cussed me first I let him have it. so bringing it to him is out of the question.

I'm sure it's still a pully driven water pump that is located up near your alternator or power steering pump. It's called a seawater pump and the engine water pump just circulates the water that the seawater pump pulls from the foot.
Those are the only 2 water pumps you have.
Mercruisers have the pump in the foot, but Volvos don't.
Replacing the impeller is quite easy. Iboats forum used to have manuals for download.
