Called my wife on the drive home from N.O. and asked her to please delete it from the DVR before I got home.

Try as I may... I just can't get over Alabama making it to the NC based on "the eyeball test" the pundits kept referring to. It made all of what was known as Division 1 football illegitimate in my eyes.

Add the whole "wtf happened in the locker room" conspiracy, and I went from being THE ultimate college football fan (15 yr season ticket holder living in Austin), to already planning on selling my tickets next season. The thrill is gone.

There isn't any doubt Alabama was the best team in football at the end of the year. If you watched the NCG and come to any other conclusion, don't know what to tell you. No one would have beaten them on Jan 9th except for LSU, and LSU didn't show up

The game never should have happened, and I think that's the way the LSU players felt too. My dad is one of the biggest LSU fans ever, and he almost didn't watch the game to start, saying Saban will not lose this game, almost like it was a 'set-up'. Had we played anyone else and lost, it wouldn't have felt so bad. I turned off the last several minutes of the game and did not look at ESPN or sports shows for over a week. Dammned if i was going to watch Lil Nicky hold the crystal ball. I simply will NEVER re-watch the game...it was erased from my DVR and life.
