We've faced some pretty good chopper pilots that fly too high for us to paint them or swoop low behind cover. It can be done, but it makes them avoid us and that takes them away from the action.

Shooting down choppers is still an accomplishment with the CITV station.

I think the main issue with the guided missiles being too powerful comes from the PC side of the game. And this is where DICE has problems finding a balance between PC and console.

I would imagine trying to fly a heli on a 64 man server where you have 3-4 guys using SOFLAM, 6-8 guys using javelins and 2 tanks using CITV & guided missiles and not being able to avoid all of that AT ALL can be frustrating. But the problem is when patching for that scenario, you completely cripple the consoles because you never see that much anti air firepower on one team.
