Weather will be a key factor. If you want to catch trout they are usually not too far from deep water. So stay near the ship channel and intercoastal. The fish wiil pull out of the channel and up onto the flats in Turner bay when it warms up in the afternoon. LNG can be good. Also don't be afraid to run upriver. Sometime they are congregatin near the saltwater barrier.
Edit : If you have had a lot of rain recently forget going upriver and the north end. Head south.
