I ask this because Luck is being regarded as the best prospect in 30 years, being immediately ready to play with the chance to win multiple Super Bowls and having a great chance at the HOF(Kiper 
). Yet, Newton's greatest asset was supposedly his potential and his extremely high ceiling.
While possessing this potential, he had arguably the greatest rookie season for a QB ever. Most don't seem to think that Luck will be able to match Newton's accomplishments early on, yet even with Newton's enormous potential (and proven success at the NFL level), Luck is still regarded as the better prospect. I don't see the drastic separation that is said to exist.
