Umm Boxcar Willie repeatedly compared him to Tebow! Not to mention talking about JJ's winning the games. Hell in my sig line Drexyl credited JJ not the team for beating Bama.

Go back to the spring and summer when Les was leading the JJ is such a great leader and a much better passer PR tour. (A) we never saw either of those attributes or improvements. (B) several on here
prior to the Shady's incident were commenting how we would all see how much JJ had improved and how he was a legit qb since Crowton had left. Hell JJ even through dirt on Crowton but we never saw any JJ improvement!

Hell JJ himself will and has told us how well he played!

Those were in direct response from the flip side absurdity of Lee fans claiming the same thing about games Lee played in from 2010. Anywhere you'd turn, Lee was directly credited for winning games in 2010...for some it seemed fair game to play the exact same game for JJ in 2011. Both were absurd arguments, but that's what you get when hyperbole reigns.

I think that's a stretch. There were moments in 2011 where JJ looked better than he ever had. For those of us that slightly preferred JJ to JL, I can tell you that I regret not having had the chance to see if JJ would have been any better coming straight into the season with fall camp just behind him rather than having to work his way back into the lineup with four plus straight weeks away from the team. I won;t suggest it's a certainly he would have been better, just that it's not implausible.

See my comment above. I have no idea how badly that time away hurt JJ. From the perspective of the guy who hated the guy as a player, it's clear that the time away had no effect. I take it into account and wonder if it did. Much like wondering if the game on 1/9 had been any different had Lee been inserted, we'll simply never know what may have been had JJ not been suspended before the Oregon game.

I know this bothers some fans to no end, but I'm being honest when I say I never cared at all. JJ started out an extremely shy kid who hated doing the interviews, and eventually seemed to overcompensate by never saying anything negative, about himself or anyone else. I can understand how some fans like to see a guy throw himself prostrate in front of the fans to take his beating after a poor performance...it's just never been anything I care about, regardless of the player.
