I believe what Canseco said in his first book more and more.
When it came out several years back, I assumed he wanted money and publicity because he was bankrupt. But once Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa, etc, etc was made to look like an idiot in front of the nation, he was just ratting them all out, for better or worse...and I tend to think better.
Some of the shite he said about Clemens is exactly the way it played out in Clemens defense. But Canseco claims to be the "godfather of steroids" and their modern use. I wouldn't necessarily disagree.
So the 8 of 10 comment by Rocker doesn't surprise me at all.
I have no problem with him as a public figure. He spoke thr truth about the 7-train in Queens. Was it a dumb move for someone famous (or infamous)? Yeah. But it's no different then what alot of Americans would mumble to each other if they weren't native New Yorkers.
