"You're either with us, or You're against us"

Some may balk at this little rant of mine, but I'm doing it as much for myself as I am for everyone else.
The last month plus feb 1, was maybe the worst period of LSU football that I can remember. It was worse than the decade of the 90's because we had no real expectations during that time. But over the last decade, we've been the class of the SEC, we've won titles, and we've realized our potential. And in the matter of a month and a day, it's felt as if that's all been taken in one fail swoop.
But instead of having this board become emblematic of our implosion as a football program, I suggest we unite as a fanbase and adhere to the words of Miles in the thread title. Similar to Rummy's thread, we should say frick the quarterback controversy. They're not here anymore, and discussing the merits of one over the other at this point falls on deaf ears. We lost the NC game, and no matter how much we want to devise reasons of why it shouldn't have happened, it did. We need to move on. We lost Collins, Kiel screwed us and cost us Miller, Davis ran away to a program that is 13-12 over the last two seasons, and Brockers declares somewhat unexpectedly.
Despite all of these things, none of it matters for next season. Mett is the quarterback, we return the bulk of our team, and we are going to win the SEC next season. Alabama is going to come to town, and we're going to beat the shite out of that team and make everyone realize they were wrong to doubt our program.
We're LSU, you're either with us or you're against. us.

I'm absolutely with you. We were entitled to a hangover, but now let's get back to kicking everyone's asses.
We just had one of the greatest regular seasons in football history. I refuse to apologize for it. This team was awesome, and next year's team could be even better. This is a great time to be a Tiger.
I've been making an Enemies' List. Time to double down.

I'm not sure why that matters. Honestly, why does it matter at this point? He can be jaded, so can T-Bob, so can a lot of people. But what exactly does that have to do with anything at this point other than a reason to conjure up something we will never be able to change, no matter how much we would like to.

Not really. I am with some of you and really against a lot of you. I came on here to learn about LSU sports.......no one is going to be pleased all the time or even some of the time.
This is a rant where we came to let off steam and get crap from a lot of you in return........
I really don't think anyone for LSU is against you or another LSU supporter, so if they want to rant, let them rant.........
and if you feel like they are against you, then report it to the administration........

Good post, get over it. January 9th is over and done with. For whatever reason it happened and now we are preseason number 1. This is the best days of LSU football that in my lifetime I can't imagine ever going back to the Curly, archer days. We have consistently been a top five program for the last ten years. LSU truly is an elite program. It amazes me the people who complain on this site about the football program. We should expect this type of excellance in all our sports, that's why I continue to question why people accept such mediocrity in any sport at LSU.

After reading that, in real life, I have no doubt we wouldn't be friends. I qualified my thread in the first sentence, which you casually overlooked, to make some type of stance on some existential ability to post rants on a message board. Thanks for your insight Bobby.

TA, I agree with your original post. Until LSU does something to screw me personally, and probably after that, I am behind this program through and through.

I'm just tired of the whining. We lost. It sucked. Yes, we should've had a different gameplan and gone to the bench. We didn't. And I think the last month has been an appropriate hangover.
It's time to move on and concentrate on beating the crap out of everyone else. It's also time to start reminding ourselves how great this season was. We shouldn't be ashamed of it all. LSU finished in the top five and beat three of the four other teams in the top five.
We also won the toughest conference in the country. These aren't insignificant accomplishments. And next year, we get the crystal back.
It's time to move on and concentrate on beating the crap out of everyone else. It's also time to start reminding ourselves how great this season was. We shouldn't be ashamed of it all. LSU finished in the top five and beat three of the four other teams in the top five.

The attitude of either for LSU or against is crap.
I have been a supporter of LSU likely since before you were born and have seen many many GODS (oops -coaches_ come and go.
I will always support LSU, but your effort to quiet anything against Miles has failed.
I, and you for that matter, should hold and keep Miles' feet to the fire. He is nothing more than a $4MM a year employee who did not perform.
Never, lose sight of what Miles is, or you will be blinded and taken to slaughter.
There is a difference between bitching in public against LSU and here against Miles' decision.
