No, sir, I was pointing out that the writer was mocking the collective wisdom of armchair QBs who have knighted - to borrow a phrase -- JLee as the savior of the BCNCG.
We would have been happy with ...anyone, just try something different. I don't think anyone has illusions that Lee would have definitely helped, but we will never know. Lee, Mett, someone besides the guy who played all game.

I appreciate what Lee did this year, but if you cannot recognize his fundamental limitations, then I can's help you.
Both Lee and JJ had limitations and that is the reason I thought both were part time players. Les disagreed, which rightfully brought the anger on him he deserved.
The only time I thought Lee was done wrong was in his last home game when LSU was leading Arkansas by a large margin and he still didn't make an appearance except to kneel the ball out. I would have felt the same about either QB's.
People are more pissed that Les didn't try something new when JJ was failing miserably and playing poorly for the second straight game in a row, whether it was Lee or Mett, though some feel Lee earned a shot.
