See, Tim, that's sort of what I figured. Always boils down to race. For anyone that thinks there was a clear demaraction between either guy that played QB, you either are delusional, don;t know much about football, are from the Walker area or a combination of the three.
or it could be that a change needed to be made after the 1st 2 and a half quarters of football because JJ wasn't getting the job done.
Aaron Brooks was playing with a fricked up shoulder and we only needed to win 1 out of 3 against 3 bad teams to make the playoffs.
Both were stupid coaching decisions.

Pete, my question is not whether the loss stings. If you are are a fan, it should. My question was why the overwhelming negativity towards the program by such a vocal minority instead of some proper perspective. Of course, I will not get a true answer to this as people who think like this are irrational. I am just sick and tired of that kind oif attitude being seen as pervasive.

eh. We won the last 9 games and had the highest point differential in the NFL. We were destroying everybody after we made the changes in the St. Louis game. Our D was playing better than every other contender's defense.
So it's not debatable and when did SF stop playing D?

I never said it wasn't debatable, I was stating the Saints case.
I never considered San Fran a legit contender until after they beat us. Even then, it took us having 5 turnovers, 2 unforced.

Sorry meant just for that game.. I was never embarrased by our offense until that game.

1. The saints gave Drew Brees
2. The Saints hired the best DC available who was highly wanted around the league
3. The Saints came to play and put up a massive comeback.

Oh please. It's much worse out in public than on here. I have yet to talk to any random person that has actually been positive about LSU and/or Les Miles. And it isn't my friends, it's everybody I've talked to, stranger or not.

Junkfunky, they did not, but as anyone who watched the game could plainly see, the difference in the game was the points off turnovers that the SF offense scored on the Saints, together with Roman Harper's blown tackle and a dumb defensive call on the last drive. Further, for those that think a terrible d is the sign of a non-SB team, see, e.g. Patriots.

Less roster changes.
But I will add that if the saints played in 3 super bowls in 9 years, the fans would be more fickle and less tolerant.

Oh no, I agree. I was just commenting on how he makes it out to be just a few idiots. It's not that at all.

RT, you really think this? I guess I delude myself into thinking it's a minority. I feel like a "rich" tapayer in the Obama years.

The difference is that we know Sean Payton is an elite coach, we know that the Saints were prepared, and we know that we have Drew Brees coming back next year.

It's not something I just think, it's been my personal experience. I'm definitely not part of the sanctimonious crowd. I'm not pumping sunshine at all. But when I talk to others IRL, I feel like I am.

I respectfully disagree with you here. Lee craps his pants at pressure. I think they are equally bad at different things, with JJ getting the nod at having the potential to escape a rush. I trust you are not one of those "look what Lee did in the the Texarkana All-Star Game" folk, because that performance (in addition to not even being very impressive, shows nothing of relevance to the BCS game).
That being said, I thank and respect Lee and JJ for the 4/5 years of hard work each of them put in. It did not work out in the end, but that's life.
