If we get K Alexander & M Edwards I think I'm very happy. In fact who would you rather have:

LC / Gunner

- OR -

KA / ME

LC/ Gunner

Hard choice. However, Keeping the top in state recruits, in state, and landing the top Pro style QB would have been a massive win. Plus I would not have had to sift through 2 weeks of sky is falling BS from these boards...

Collins bothered me mainly because he was local and committed to Saban. Considering team needs, Alexander could be a better pickup. Edwards is huge and could be all world playing for Chavis.

Kiel hurt because of our four year nightmare at QB. It would be nice to have stability at that position for a few years.

You talking about past or future. The next four years looks pretty good with Mettenberger and Randal.

We've got a ton of LBs this year and we're very well situated at defensive back - Kwon and Landon are not in positions of need. Edwards would be a great addition to the line with Montgomery out next year, or he could gain a few pounds and replace Brockers in the middle - he has the skills for either one. You can always use extra great defensive linemen. As for Gunner, our years of difficulty with quarterbacks speak for themselves.

Talking about the past. If the last four years taught us anything, it's that you can't have too many QB's. Too hard to predict which one's will make the transition from HS to SEC caliber play.

truth....knowing what we now know, does anyone think that we should have given RP just one more chance?

just kidding!

the film I saw on Keil, frankly, left me feeling kind of meh and his outing in the UA game was very average. I think we have a very solid core group on campus and if we get a surprise commit at qb we'll be fine. the x factor that few talk about is Krags who may be the most important part of the whole equasion. JMHO.

first time poster long time lurker. Missing out on Keil was rough just because it came down to the day before he was supposed to start classes. Edwards and Kwon would be incredible. Even tho LC is an instate and manchild, I think I'm over him. He doesn't want to be here.
