re: this class looks to be the lowest ranked since '05

Sick of the excuses about this class. Miles and company have tried to get alot of these kids that are going elsewhere but just cant get them. The fact is, that all these schools (lets say close to 20 schools)are out recruiting LSU who had a great season and is suppose to be preseason #1. There's a problem here that other SEC schools and teams from other conferences who had multiple losses are getting the recruits we want. They either think Miles is dumb, dont like how he uses his players, or its LSU's location. Most of the recruits we got have been verbaled for along time. Why with this great season and going to a title game are we not getting more recruits? Why are we losing them. All the other schools are loading up.

Very true. Compared to other years, there hasn't been a lot of news during this timeframe. And that's been since before the Bama win, so it has nothing to do with the success we had up until 9 JAN.
But in the past, Miles has done well in every recruiting year, so maybe we have this one bad year. But it's not over yet, there may be surprises ahead. Have to be optimistic. Whatever is not filled this year should be easier to fill next year...

This. Saban, like it or not, is perceived nationally as the best college football coach in the country. Miles, on the other hand, comes off as a bumbler who gets lucky often, and when you hear him speak he sounds like a moron. That's why he's always on the edge when it comes to public's opinion of his abilities. And that is why a debacle like the NC game has done more than the normal amount of damage.
