I will never understand why JJ was not converted to a WR or TE and Shep made the dual threat QB. Shep just wasn't made for the position they tried to fit him into and they never got him the touches they promised him. Someone with his talent should get 10 to 15 touches a game. RR too. Hell, they even let Ware throw a couple of passes, why not Shep? He was the most wasted talent ever at LSU by far. JJ was the most overplayed disappointment I ever remember at LSU.
Les is a great recruiter, he is a great evaluater of coaching talent and sometimes he is a great game day coach. However, he generally sucks at player talent and position evaluation.
