The butt hurt being expressed on the rant over the last few days really stems from losing to our hated rivals....da GUMPS!

If we lost to anyone else, there wouldnt be nearly this level of meltdown in Tiger Nation!!

Agree or not???

Flame away!!

I disagree. We lost to the best team in the nation.

It's not because we lost it's HOW we lost.

I don't think that losing to Bama is the main problem. I think it's how LSU lost.

Combination of both. The ones I really feel for are the LSU fans living in alabama because they'll never hear the end of it. We could beat them 50 years in a row from here on out and they'd still be bragging about this win. Not the same with other teams - Stanford fans would be too polite, OSU fans we don't really have to interact with, and Boise State fans don't actually exist.

Really don't think we would have lost if we played a team we hadn't already seen and beat. Don't know why but just think so.

It's a combination of things for me:

1. What could have been in terms of history. Most Deserving of all Time, and in the convo with greatest of all time.

2. Losing perfection. Being an undefeated National Champion

3. Who we lost to. I would've rather lost to OSU or Stanford, rather than Alabama. Beating Bama in future regular season games will feel good...but the amount of pain exacted on us can't be paid back unless we move on to a +1 and we play them in the National Championship with Saban as coach.

4. How we played.

I'd be even more hacked off if it was someone other than Bama and we had lost like this. Bama is the only team IMO who could have beaten us

Completely agree, I don't hate Alabama, but I do hate their fanbase with every fiber in my being. And the worst part about this is they will always be able to hold this against us. Had it even been another SEC school I wouldn't have been as upset...well maybe all of them except Ole Miss.

Living in Alabama or not...this shite will linger no matter where you are.

Everybody would be very angry and embarrassed no matter who we play. However, the fact that it was Alabama, with Nick Saban, who just stole Landon Collins, who we already beat just a few games ago, who we have to hear their Gump-arse fan base flame us constantly, wave their crystal ball in our face tonight at the basketball game...

If they played like they did Monday, they would have lost to any number of teams.

Agree. Bama/Saban makes it worse. LC, Lacy, and Diarse make it worse still.

WRONG !
100 %

We did not use all of our weapons in the fight and we surrendered in the middle of it.

Could care less what the other team's name is.

It's semantics for the most part, with a little bit of anti-Bama sentiment thrown in.

I'm mostly upset because the team looked wholly unprepared on offense. The fact that the special teams performance was the worst to date didn't help. D showed up and played WELL.

But yes, extra upset comes from knowing that our opponent got a mulligan. It could have been Auburn or Arkansas, and I'd feel the same way. Why exactly did we play the game on 5 November? Every game counts? We don't have a playoff (yet). Every other year in the history of college football that is an elimination game. But not this year.

Yes - Bama is a better team. But we beat that better team in their stadium earlier this season. But they got a do-over, awarded by the system we agreed to play in. We laid a huge stinking turd on the Superdome turf - evening the season series at 1-1 - and Bama falls arse-backward into their umpteenth national championship.

So when I get completely over how badly we played on O, this is what will bug me.

And yes - despite my use of the first person plural I know I don't play on the team.
