As a huge Reds fan, I'm extremely pleased with this signing (for right now atleast. We will see how I feel in July and August, but it seems like a great sign). When I was up at IU, I was able to either watch or listen to just about every Reds game, and Cordero took years off my life every time he took the mound. I know the stats don't show it, but it seemed like every time he took the mound to close out a game that he would allow a hit and then a walk, or the other way around. Marty Brennaman even called him "Half-pack Cordero. Smoke 'em if you got 'em". He just never seemed to close a game easily.

I am pretty pumped about this upcoming season, especially now that we got Pujols out the division and Braun has a 50 game suspension. If Cozart comes along at SS, I feel like we definitely have the best infield in the game. Solid starting rotation, although no leftys in it unless Chapman comes around as starter. Now a much improved bullpen too.
