Even when we broke tendencies by throwing bubble screens w/ jefferson and a hb mid screen, Bama snuffed it out.

Wouldn't a vertical passing game helped? I know that we did not have that since the Russell/Flynn/Perrilloux days. I have accepted this after the 2010 season. Just hoped for some efficency by the QBs.

the more i think about it, the more i believe the coaching staff feared having Jefferson throw downfield into the Bama secondary. Between the line getting good pressure and the array of double coverages, brackets, combo coverages, zone blitzes, i honestly believe the coaching staff was inclined to throw underneath and hope we can break one, and if not, punt and play D.
