LSU (has) improved since Nov 5th

That's what jumps out at me. Looking at the two teams, Alabama is pretty much the same team they were on Nov. 5th, while we have changed (and improved) a lot since then. Kenny Hilliard, Jefferson as the starter, Mathieu out of his post-suspension funk, etc. are all major upgrades from the team that took the field to start the game on Nov. 5th.

6. Two more months passed in the history of the university where LSU was not Alabama.

You have to remember that was a road game and Les does not allow the Team a lot of freedom like likes to do at Home. That to me kept LSU off the score board as much as it was Bama's Defense.

I believe Team to Team LSU is the better equipted Team in all of College Football with the level of Talent and depth. Bama does not go that deep.

One thing the OP did not mention in his opening list was LSU will play to stop TR and make AJ McCarron try to beat LSU with his arm. Mingo, Baker, Minter and all the LB's will go where ever TR goes the LB's have improved and were the reason LSU held TR below 100 rushing. (89 rushing & 80 recieving)

If that be the case with LSU's DB's and Safeties it will be a long night. 2/3rds of TR carries and recieving yards was in the 1st half last time that had a lot to do with their OL's depth not able to sustain for the whole game.

TR had 3 yards in the 3rd quarter on 3 carries and 30 in the 4th on 8 carries and 0 yards 0 carries 0 passes in the OT. That tells me that LSU can and will stop TR I do not believe he will get 100 yards. LSU has a better overall Defense than Bama.
