Anyone made a duck hunt down in Gueydan recently?

How are the ducks???

Headed to make a hunt @ Doug's Hunting Lodge this weekend. Anyone have experience with them?

Yea they hunt just to the south of my lease... whatever you do don't waste your shells on the high flying snows and blues if they tell you too... some of the guides out there are jack asses! I wouldn't expect to kill your limit of birds but you can expect to kill birds and may kill a limit one of the two days.. Looks like the weather is going to be good for the area saturday and sunday morning.

went christmas morning 4 people, was 4 ducks short of limit, limit of specks & 3 snow geese. Good luck. Don't know too much about Doug's. Used to competition call with a guy named Cleveland or Clem? Was one hell of a speck caller!!!

have been a couple of times w/clients. went strictly speck hunting. got our limit both times. saw the bevy of ducks killed. mostly teal, grays, blackjacks, spoonies with a few mallards. this was 4 years ago though. don't know if they were hunting the marsh or flooded rice fields.
