The subject matter of that article was very nice, but the authors writing skills are atrocious.
Yup - you could tell he's in broadcasting and not print journalism. Improper use of reflexive (myself) and applied a bit too much focus to his own accomplishments versus those of his subject.

BUT STILL, a very nice testimonial.

Agree with all this. We essentially made it a circus.

Bama wanted him.

“I’m going to go down there and work as hard as I can for the starting spot or backup spot or whatever I can earn,” Kiel told the Star. “I really want to be the starting quarterback, but you have to earn it.”

"I can't wait to play in the SEC. A lot of people call it the NFL of college football, and it will be an exciting time,” Kiel told
MyIndianaFootball.com. “It would mean a lot to be a starting quarterback in such a great conference at a great school."

I don't think this recruitment was a circus at all. I can think of several that we're far worse that relate to LSU. To me, any drama was caused by "insiders" and the buildup over Christmas.

I think the Kiel's handled it extremely well considering the season and the time restrictions.
