question about posting gifs

I used to use tinypic and that site wont work for me now. Ive been using imageshack for awhile, and I used to be able to post gifs on the sites Im on. But now, when I try posting the gifs, its just a frozen picture on the site I try to post it on. What am I doing wrong and/or what other site should I use. Imageshack used to work before. Do I even need a download site? heres and example of when I post a gif (a common one people have used)
