They were right, but not about Anderson. I think this is Wenger's most genius move. Guardiola is seeing it to it's logical conclusion, but it was Wenger who put Cesc in that ten yard space between the opposition midfield and defense, and told him to do what he was good at. After that game against Man U, I can't remember Cesc ever getting marked out of another game in his Arsenal career.
He has become a truly unique attacking player, and he doesn't have the asset of athletic ability. If he was more athletic, he would be a completely different player.
