Thoughts on the Thursday beer I tried at the Bulldog:
Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale - heavily spiced pumpkin ale. In fact, might be spiced a little too much for my liking. Still think that Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin ale strikes the perfect balance of pumpkin and spice for this style. For my taste anyway.
NOLA Smoky Mary - first time trying this one as well. The smoky flavor was subtle and not overpowering. Thought the beer was a bit thin. Not a bad effort, but maybe not up to usual NOLA standards.
Shiner Cheer - had this one at home. Lots of peach aroma and taste. It was interesing. By the end of the glass, I kinda had my fill of peach. Not a bad beer, but I couldn't drink more than one in a sitting.
